Parts of the UK are now officially severely water stressed while flooding is becoming more frequent and severe. The hydrology of our water catchments has changed over the last century. There have been large changes in agricultural policy and practices relating to water on farmland. It now seems highly likely that these facts are strongly related.
This session will present a brief description of these changes and challenges leading to a panel led discussion around how agriculture might adapt to the changing climate and offer assistance with remedying the problem for wider society.
