The pandemic has seen a renewed appreciation for farmers in providing food for their communities. Organic food consumption has soared in the past year and more people than ever are buying directly from their local producers and farms. Yet we still have the highest consumption of ultra processed foods in Europe, at almost 50%. We’ve also become more divisive than ever about what should be on our plates. In this session, two health experts and authors, Nick Barnard and Dr Jenny Goodman, speak to Josiah Meldrum of Hodemedod about the current health crisis, how better farming practices can help us out of it, and share their views on what it means to eat well today.
