Landscape Recovery (Taking a Large-Scale, Long-Term & Collaborative Approach to Producing Environmental & Climate Goods on Farmland)

Breakout Tent

Landscape Recovery is one of Defra’s Environmental Land Management Schemes. The scheme is for farmers and land managers who want to take a large-scale, long-term approach to producing environmental and climate goods on their land. It funds ambitious landscape-scale projects through bespoke, long-term agreements. In this session representatives from Defra and the Environment Agency (who administer the scheme, alongside Natural England) will talk about the scheme and its progress so far. The North East Cotswold Farmer Cluster (who have been awarded Landscape Recovery funding) will share their experiences and showcase how restoring the health of our water catchments can be done with regenerative agriculture, working in harmony with nature to the benefit of both food production and our natural environment.
