  • What Should I Bring To Groundswell?

    Dress for the weather, print your badge at home for a faster entry, bring swimming costume for sauna (if you desire!), yoga mat, if camping think about eye mask and ear plugs. Comfortable footwear is recommended. Maybe bring an umbrella or a sun hat? A water vessel for staying hydrated is sensible although you could pick up a freebie from the Affinity Water Stand. Other things that might be useful: Phone power bank, business cards, coffee mug. 

    If you forget anything there is a Festival Shop next to the Bookshop which sells wonderful merch and festival sundries.

  • Do You Run A Shuttle Bus?

    Yes, we run a free shuttle bus to and from Stevenage station. See timings below. At Stevenage Station turn left out of the gates and head over the footbridge to the shuttle bus rank located here.  At Groundswell the buses run from the Taxi Rank which is by the North Entrance here. There are multiple buses running and there should be stewards at either end to guide you.

  • Is There SomeWhere To Lock My Bicycle?

    There are bicycle stands by the Visitor Entrances.

  • What Time Can I Arrive To Camp?

    The Campsite is open from 4pm on Tuesday 30th June 2026.

    The Campsite closes at 11am on Thursday 2nd July 2026.

  • When Is The Earthworm Arms Bar Open And Food Available?

    Tuesday 30th June - 5pm til late

    Wednesday 1st – 7am til late

  • Is There A Student And Young Farmers Ticket Discount?

    Yes, 40% – need to present a NUS/TOTUM card or YF membership

  • Is There Disabled Access & Parking?

    The showground is on a working farm but there are no steep inclines and there are disabled toilet facilities available.

    You can hire Mobility Scooters and Wheelchairs at Groundswell through Event Mobility.

    Event Mobility

    Disabled/Blue badge parking is located next to the Event Mobility Stand. Please note the taxi rank is at the other entrance (North Entrance) this year. If you are being dropped off for the Event Mobility Stand use the Day Visitor Entrance. 

  • Can Children Attend Groundswell?

    Groundswell is an agricultural trade show and conference for adults and it is not designed for children. Exceptions can be made for working young farmers aged 16 and over.

    There are no facilities or activities for children.

    Every person on-site 16+ is required to register for a ticket. Students (with ID) and YFC members are eligible for a 40% discount.

  • Where Is First Aid?

    Report to the Event Office (near Exhibitor Loading Area) or in an emergency call 999 and also the Groundswell office on 01462 790 219.

  • Can I Bring My Dog?

    Dogs (except Assistance & Guide Dogs) are not encouraged to attend.

  • Can I Leave My Dog In My Car In The Car Park or In the Campsite?

    No. Dogs cannot be left unattended in the carpark or campsite.

  • Can I Camp In The Car Park?

    No. You have to camp in the camping area which is subject to a £32 (+ VAT) pitch fee per person (covers three nights 1st to 4th). There is a separate Live-in Vehicle area in the Car Park for campervans or vehicles with tents attached, it’s £75 (+ VAT) per vehicle (includes up to 2 people).

  • Can I Park Beside My Tent?

    No cars are allowed in the camping area. If you want to camp next to your car you have to be in the Live-in Vehicle area.

  • Can I Drive Onto The Campsite To Drop Off My Stuff?

    No, you must park in the car park and walk into the campsite. You should be able to drop off your camping stuff at the camping entrance but then you need to park in a car park.

  • Can I Light A Fire In The Camp Site?

    Unfortunately no form of fires or camping stoves are allowed in the campsites. This is due to Health and Safety restrictions due to fire risk.  

  • Am I Allowed To Leave And Re-enter The Site?

    Yes. Just make sure you have your lanyard, wristband (for showground) and camping wristband (for camping areas)

  • What If The Weather Is Bad?

    We have marquees and other forms of shelter for most sessions. Bring waterproofs and warm clothes for the evening.

  • What Are The Parking Arrangements?

    Visitors park in the Main Car Park (follow road signs for "Day Parking"), there is no charge for parking and no need for a parking pass.

    Exhibitors have a separate car park which is accessible from the Exhibitor entrance here

    Campers, Glampers and Live-in Vehicles are to follow separate road signs for "Camping, Glamping, Live-in Vehicles" and use the entrance to site here. It does not matter if Campers use the Day Parking because you can access the campsite from both sides. 

  • What Are The Camping Arrangements?

    At the campsites there will be showers and loos. There is no electric hook-up for caravans/campervans. Camping Pitch Fee of £32 (+ VAT) per person can be purchased with your ticket, Live-in Vehicles are £75 (+ VAT).

  • What Will Cost Me Money On The Day?

    Food and drink from the independent traders is purchasable with card. There are also a handful of stand which sell clothing/art etc. 

    There is a fantastic independent Bookshop and adjoining Festival Shop with a great selection of items from merch to sundries.

    Drinking water taps are located around the site so consider bringing a drinking vessel to stay hydrated.

  • Are There Phone Charging Facilities?

    Power banks will be available to hire/purchase from a machine next to the main entrances.

  • Can I Pass My Ticket To Someone Else During The Festival

    No, tickets are unique to individuals and one wristband to enter will be issued to each ticket holder.

  • Is There A Left Luggage / Lost Property Service?

    Left luggage / Lost Property service can be found next to the Main Entrance at the "Cloakroom A-1" and will be available between the following times:

    Tuesday 30th - 5pm to 9pm

    Wednesday 1st – 7am to 9pm

    Thursday 2nd – 7am to 9pm

  • I Have Been Offered The Chance To Buy The Groundswell Attendee List – Have You Sold Attendee Details?

    Absolutely not! Groundswell would never sell delegate contact details so if you are emailed offering ‘Groundswell contact list’ or similar, it is definitely spam.
