Richard is the Agricultural Advice Manager for the RSPB. He has worked with farmers as a conservation advisor for over 30 years. He now leads a team who manage RSPB Hope Farm, run a scheme to offer volunteer bird surveys to farmers, lead the Farm Wildlife Partnership of wildlife organisations and nature-friendly farming groups and offer advisory support in the development of agri-environment schemes across all four countries of the UK. Richard is also an avid birdwatcher in his home patch of the Derbyshire Trent Valley and is as much at home showing people the wonders of the dawn chorus as he is in discussing the intricacies of nature-friendly farming with farmer groups.
