A sixth-generation farmer at Nempnett Pastures, George Ford has led the family farm on a transformative journey; transitioning the business from intensively reared pigs for the commodity market to a high-welfare system centred on pasture-raised poultry and beef now sold online direct to the consumer. Nempnett Pastures prioritises ethical and sustainable practices with a mission is to produce high quality meat ethically, sustainably and transparently, re-connecting consumers with their food, through social media and hosting open farm events.
