As the nature writing sector booms, this is a golden time for the ‘farmer writer’. But as big business encroaches into the regenerative space, it is critical that farmers and growers learn how to tell the story of their farming journey for themselves, whether through a book, newsletter, blog or website. Stories matter: they are how we explain the world. Powerful narratives can change minds and hearts and influence behaviour. This session will be part discussion, part practical workshop. Comprising a panel of experienced farmer-writers, journalists and editors it will offer writing and practical advice, from how to craft a proposal or pitch and get published to how best to communicate a farming story to customers.
