Phil White manages a mixed family farm using regenerative principles in South Oxon in partnership with his wife Fi. They grow ‘Wild Farmed’ cereals with no ‘cides integrated with a ‘Precision Grazed’ 100% pasture fed Shorthorn/Angus suckler herd. He has had a go at grazing turkeys and slow-grown chickens too, selling meat direct from the farm and collaborating with local farmers in the River Thame Cluster. He is still on a very steep learning curve. Fi is also a PE/swimming teacher and runs a wild campsite on the farm. They have two children, Ellen who is soon to be Called to the Bar and Nick who manages the young stock in a dairy beef unit on the Ridgeway (and who is also occasionally seen at the bar!) Phil loves adventure travel, kayaking, occasional yoga and dance music.
Ian Pigott hosts a conversation with 3 farmers who are at various stages of their regenerative journey.
