Colin Chappell is an arable farmer working on the banks of the River Ancholme in North Lincolnshire. Noticing declines in biodiversity on his multi-generational farm led him to transition from conventional farming to an approach based around soil health, crop rotations and managing more land for nature – cutting input costs while maintaining yields. These changes have also contributed to improved resilience to a changing climate, including repeated recent floods.
