Richard farms a livestock & top-fruit farm in Wiltshire, home since their unexpected arrival in ‘21 to a wild beaver population. The farm implemented a range of biodiversity projects for wetlands, riparian buffers & wood pasture; 80% of the water frontage has buffers, & new ponds retain water on the land, reduce run-off & connect up wild spaces. He trained as a biologist, worked as a field botanist, is a Soil Association trustee / Farmers & Growers Board member, & a trustee of the Beaver Trust.
