Julia has worked for almost 4 decades on sustainable (organic, agroecological, permaculture, biodynamic) agriculture and food security. One of her research interests is ‘subtle agro-ecologies’, a discipline which focuses on the invisible dimension of nature in relation to agriculture. It is exploratory, whilst drawing from indigenous practices as well as those from biodynamic farming systems.
We hear from practitioners and farmers working with subtle energies of the land. What evidence is there that this type of work can improve soil health, water quality and the well-being of plants, animals and humans, and what would such evidence mean for our growing and farming practices of the future?
