Food: The secret ingredient in nature recovery

The Study

How can food support nature recovery? Conservation grazing and the shooting of wild deer are both key ways in which habitats can be restored or protected, while providing high welfare, quality meat. Telling this story to consumers not only supports sales, but can bring knowledge of the importance of protecting rare, native habitats to a new audience. The panel will discuss using food as a communication tool to restore and protect local ecosystems, helping to develop a model to encourage more producer-led food systems which champion habitat restoration.
