Over the last 12 months this small group – members of the Sierra Leone Amputee Sports Association – has established with their own hands this ten-acre farm based on permaculture and agro-ecological principles. They now want to train others to do the same – starting with their fellow amputees, then encouraging schoolchildren before helping able-bodied farmers to move away from the chemical treadmill and engage with nature.
