The Great British Wool Revival: Rebuilding from farmer to fashion

The Study

The panel will discuss The Great British Wool Revival, which remapped a broken system from farmer to designer. Established by Fashion Roundtable with The King’s Foundation and YNAP, alongside their Modern Artisan programme in September 2024, to promote British wool and to give farmers an opportunity for income generation from their wool, which for all too many was seen as waste or a byproduct. In 6 months we have seen 200 businesses join the map and “The King’s Clip” scarf, which used wool from Dumfries House, sold out in under 48 hours! The session will also discuss regenerative fashion and what this looks like from field to final product.
