Alex is a taxonomic entomologist working as part of the Rothamsted Insect Survey, studying the behavioural of insect pest species such as the cabbage stem flea beetle, pollen beetle, and various species of aphid. He gained his MSc in Entomology with a specialisation in fly taxonomy and ecology. Alex is passionate about science communication and has produced popular videos and exhibits for social media and large public events.
