2023

Andrew is the managing partner of a mainly tenanted mixed farming family business of 800 acres in North Kent.

Regenerative principles to produce nutritious foods, adding value and community involvement are the fundamentals that make Andrew and this business tick. Moisture conservation, cost reduction and the thought that “Nature has more answers than we gave her credit for” lead Andrew to adapt a Bettinson DD in the late 1990’s, to establish OSR and catch crops. With Steve Townsend’s encouragement Court Farm was fully no-till by 2009, cover cropping and livestock integration was underway by 2012.

The farm butchery opened in 2002, now selling home produced “PfL” beef and lamb along with many on-site made products. “Court Farm Regenerative Food Hub” now hosts an artisan baker and a brewery with taproom. Up-coming projects include a farmer’s market and a stone-mill.
