Anna Bowen manages a 300 cow spring block calving dairy herd through a contract farming agreement, focussing on producing milk from grass and mixed species swards. Her consultancy work for The Andersons Centre encompasses strategic, financial, and technical advice for dairy farmers, mostly pasture-based block-calving herds. Anna is a 2021 Nuffield Scholar with the study “Cow Calf Contact: Dairy’s Ethical Future?” and is the 2024 Dairy Industry Woman of the Year.
