Dr Annie Rayner

Annie is a researcher and with over 13 years experience working in the agri-food sector. She has a PhD in farm animal welfare and brings her understanding of the needs and wants of livestock into the world of regenerative agriculture.

Throughout her career, Annie has worked with governments, large retailers and NGOs promoting higher welfare systems and breeds for commercial agriculture. Annie is now at Planton Farm and is leading several projects including ‘Ultimate Chicken’ and the ‘Regenerative Trait Selection’ project – a project looking to explore current practice and opportunities for breeding resilient and diverse livestock within Regenerative systems.
