Dr Emma Berntman is the AMR lead and Senior Engagement Specialist at FAIRR, a global institutional investor network with over 400 Members with combined assets of over $70 trillion. FAIRR engages institutional investors and related stakeholders around the material environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks inherent in today’s global food system with the aim to future-proof investment portfolios and influence positive change within corporate disclosures and practices.

Emma leads FAIRR’s research, corporate engagements and policy activities on AMR and is one of the coordinators of the Investor Action on AMR Initiative. Prior to her current role, Emma was part of the dedicated stewardship and engagement team at EOS at Federated Hermes, where she focused on engaging with global companies on material ESG issues, including AMR, across multiple sectors and geographies. Emma also led the natural resource stewardship theme team while at EOS and was the in-house expert on AMR.

Emma holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and an M.Sc. in Biomedicine from Lund University in Sweden.
