Dr Peter Mansfield studied natural sciences and medicine at Cambridge University and UCH Medical School in London. He gave up an academic career in medicine to become a GP in London and then Lincolnshire where he established a groundbreaking family medicine practice based on the traditions of the famous and radical ‘Peckham Experiment’ in community and family health. A former trustee of the Soil Association, he has been at the forefront of radical thinking about health for over 40 years.
