Heather and her husband run a mixed arable farm in Lincolnshire. Their enterprise includes growing various cereal crops, legumes, herbal leys, and grass. The farm moved to a lower disturbance system over 15 years ago and introduced livestock in 2007 – a rarity for an intensive arable area. A core focus has been improving soil health and trying to maintain profitability. Heather is also the Cereal and Pulses Product Manager for UK and IRE for Limagrain and sits on the NFU Combinable Crops Board.
The agricultural input sector is not always considered in the discussion on scaling regenerative agriculture despite the role it plays.
