Ian Knight is an independent agricultural consultant and Director at Abacus Agri with a background in farm management and agronomy. He has a particular focus on organic farming and agroforestry systems. Ian is a lead advisor for Defra on rural grants and assisted the development of SFI support payments for agroforestry. Ian is also a principal partner in UKRI EU Horizon Climate Farm Demo aiming to demonstrate the crucial role British farmers play as part of the solution to climate change. At home Ian runs a smallholding with silvopasture and coppice agroforestry.
