Ian is a founder member of the community led Bledington Flood Group, committed to preventing flooding in Bledington, a Cotswold village on the border of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. 24 properties were flooded in the most recent event in December 2019. The group worked to understand the complex factors contributing to property flooding and coordinate the various agencies with responsibility for water to prevent flooding in the future. Critical to this is the collaboration with 10 landowners within the wider catchment which includes five main rivers.
