Fed up with using ever-greater amounts of toxic inputs to grow crops and passionate about wildlife, we made an about turn in 2021and stopped using all pesticides bar the occasional herbicide and have reduced synthetic N use by 70%. Wildlife is now thriving (we were runners-up in FWAG’s national Silver Lapwing Award in 2024), we are producing healthy ‘food’ rather than unhealthy ‘feed’ and we get to work with fantastic businesses who really appreciate the way we farm.
