A highly regarded viticulturist, Joel grew up on his family vineyard in the Cape Winelands, South Africa, nurturing organic vines with his father. After his BSc at Stellenbosch Uni he came to the UK, working throughout the country and coaching budding viticulturists. He now manages Vinescapes operational division. Joel has a particular penchant for regen and soil management to build resilient and productive vineyards. He has a deep knowledge of cover crops, biodiversity and vine health.
