Melanie is a senior knowledge exchange manager at Rothamsted Research’s North Wyke campus in Devon which focusses on grassland livestock systems research. Working with partners in the farming and environmental sector, Melanie facilitates opportunities to share insights and knowledge which can help strengthen Rothamsted’s research into sustainable and resilient grassland livestock farming, benefit the wider farming sector and inform future policy. Melanie works closely with farming partners and helped establish the Devon Silvopasture Network, a collection of seven farms in mid and north Devon who have introduced silvopasture systems on their land to look at their benefits for soils, biodiversity, animal health and welfare.
