Nicola is the Environment Agency lead for the Landscape Recovery scheme and is responsible for ensuring that the first set of Landscape Recovery pilot projects are fully supported and enabled to deliver their environmental and social outcomes. The Environment Agency are currently administering grants to Landscape Recovery projects in England that focus on river and stream restoration. Nicola is enthusiastic about the potential of the Landscape Recovery scheme and is committed to ensuring that lessons learnt are incorporated into future iterations of the scheme. With a PhD in soil science from the National Soil Resources Institute, Cranfield University Nicola’s interests are in soil and land management practices to drive improvements in water quality and habitats. Nicola has over 15 years of experience in a variety of roles, primarily working collaboratively with farmers, land managers and partner organisations to promote and enable the delivery of environmental improvements.
