Richard Negus is not simply a hedgelayer. He is recognised as one of the country’s leading exponents and practitioners in rotational hedgerow management and rejuvenation. John Lewis-Stempel describes him as “The hedgerow’s one true champion”. His writing, seen in publications including The Critic, Telegraph and Scribehound, is likened by reviewers to the great rural writers Gilbert White and BB (Denys Watkins-Pitchford). His much anticipated first book, Words From The Hedge, is now released.
