Robin Snowdon is co–owner of Limeburn Hill. Along with partner Georgina he runs the vineyard on biodynamic principles that he believes create a healthy landscape, rich in wildlife, and allow the full expression of the spirit of the land in the fruit that is grown on it. Robin makes small batches of wine exclusively from his own grapes which are hand harvested, and fermented using the wild yeast on the skins, to produce Demeter-certified natural wines. Additionally, Robin runs workshops on biodynamic viticulture and heads up the Biodynamic Viticulture course for the BDA.
Regenerative viticulture is about achieving balance in the vineyard and ecosystem – but the business also needs to balanced, and it’s critical to have a market for the grapes. This is a conversation with regenerative wine growers, producers, and traders – from ground to grape to grass.
