Safia Shakarchi is a British Iraqi food photographer, writer, stylist & creative food consultant based in London. Having originally trained as a pastry chef, she has spent the last eight years working in and with some of the UK’s most exciting bakeries and restaurants.

She was nominated for two YBFs in 2018 and shortly after she was named one of Sainsbury’s ‘Rising Stars’ of 2019. The Guardian also included her as one of the best ‘Insta-Food Follows of the Year’.

In 2022, Safia launched ‘Another Pantry’, an online recipe platform celebrating contemporary food culture & recipes from the UK food community. The project celebrates seasonal, slow and conscious cooking by releasing four recipe edits a year, encouraging us to cook with the best of the season’s produce.
