Simon has worked in the impact investing field for 14 years with a focus on high impact early-stage innovation – from preventative health to early years education, recidivism to circular economy business models. As a specialist in a nascent field he has advised institutional investors, charities and corporates in developing and launching impact investment strategies. A frequent speaker on the impact economy, he has given of over 50 talks to universities, business schools and government departments.

Simon’s passion for food, farming and ecology started in early childhood. He has been growing organic vegetables and fruits on a subsistence scale ever since. As a Partner and co-founder of Pelican Ag, Simon has immersed himself in the teachings of Regenerative Design, management, and decision making, as well as a host of production systems from small to large scale farming contexts. As an independent advisor and investor in Ooooby, he is also actively engaged in building regional food supply chains and improving producer livelihoods across the United Kingdom.
