Sonia has worked with farmers in consulting and teaching roles across the horticulture and grazing industries for more than 20 years, and has grown vegetables using mulch-based techniques for around 25. She grew up on a dairy farm in Australia, and her balanced approach encompasses thorough academic research alongside practical, farmer-orientated, commercial reality. She is currently completing a PhD at Newcastle University.
