Stephen Temple farms in North Norfolk. After university, and two years at the Scottish Institute of Agricultural Engineering, he worked in Malawi. Initially lecturing in Agricultural Engineering, then building instrumentation for a fuelwood saving project for tobacco and finally in tea processing research. He gained his PhD in “Control of Fluidised Bed Tea Drying” in 2000. Returning home, his wife established cheesemaking on farm, whilst he developed post-harvest instrumentation and installed an anaerobic digester. Following Groundswell in 2019 they have taken the farm in a regenerative direction.
