Steve is an Agricultural Sciences lecturer at Hartpury University, having joined the teaching team in 2019. His teaching is in the fields of sustainable agriculture, sheep, pig and poultry production. Prior to this, he ran his own sheep grazing enterprise, managing a flock of 500 “Exlana” ewes on short term lets, producing fat lambs on a minimal input, outdoor lambing system. Alongside this, he has also worked in pig genetics for PIC and worked in a large broiler hatchery for Faccenda (now Avara). His passion is for furthering the understanding of agricultural science, and to this end undertakes regular outreach work and has helped schools develop their curriculum for the new iGCSE in agriculture which launched in 2022.
