A trained teacher and communicator, Sue spent her teenage years in Washington DC where her interest in social and environmental issues developed amidst the Vietnam war, Watergate and the ‘I have a dream’ march for civil rights in 1963. She has worked with BBC tv and radio, established a successful educational publishing company, and taught History at secondary level. With her husband Jeff, she is co-founder of VisionWorks Life Skills and Microbz. The business is run from their home and Sue is deeply committed to brewing and spreading the word about microbes, knowing that being a heathy human is impossible without them.
