Tom is an 8th generation fenland farmer who, alongside his brother, farms 1,600 acres of wheat, oilseed rape, spring barley and mustard. Prior to this he spent 15 years as a farm business consultant in Suffolk.
Tom is also a director of English Mustard Growers Ltd who, along with Colman’s, are embarking upon a project to trial various
regenerative practises in the growing of mustard. It is hoped that the project will highlight ways in which the crop can be successfully grown with reduced reliance on fertiliser and pesticides, reducing the crop’s impact on nature, whilst maintaining current yield levels.
