Vicky Putler runs Flax Project CIC which aims to revive linen production in the Tamar Valley and Plymouth, linking the city to the countryside, providing sustainable employment and training opportunities. She is involved in several research projects from calculating an accurate carbon footprint for craft materials to developing prototype processing machinery. Her vision is to create a non-polluting, low carbon supply chain from field to fabric. To compliment this, she runs an experimental textile-based education and community programme in Stonehouse, Plymouth.
