Daniel Pope (he/him) is the founder of Studio Popelo, a design-led practice creating playful, sensuous, and sustainable architecture. His award-winning research into circular ceramic material systems, specifically in the context of retrofit, earned the Architects’ Journal Sustainability Prize in 2021 and a commendation for the RIBA Silver Medal. This research is fundamental to the studio’s projects, guiding a rigorous approach to reducing environmental impact and complexity, regardless of scale.
