Farmers across UK farming systems are seeking to improve their environmental sustainability. Doing this efficiently and effectively requires the rapid integration of environmental knowledge and data alongside agronomic data, to know where and how to improve current practices or deploy new ones. We showcase how data from environmental research organisations (UKCEH) and engagement with the agritech sector can help to create digital tools that support farmers in meeting this challenge, by translating complex data into accessible information. We introduce some digital tools, and discuss how they can help to supply farmers with the information required to make decisions that balance the different aspects of sustainable agriculture.
