Public funding offers business opportunities for farms whilst protecting and improving the environment, but to safeguard food production and ensure continuity of supply and overall food security, a balanced approach is needed. In this session, Jim Egan will cover the headlines of SFI 2024 as James Green, Farms Director of Conant Farming, Oakham will give his perspective and outline the various implications he had to consider. Charlie Ennals, facilitator of the North Norfolk Coastal Group Farm Cluster, will offer insight as an advisor supporting farmers, and Frontier Agriculture sustainability specialist, Rob Nightingale, will discuss how data-generated insights can aid practical decision making.
