The Alvis family’s three farms are located across the Somerset countryside and home to 1,200 Holstein-Friesian dairy cows, 250 of which are organic. As well as dairy cows, there is a herd of beef cattle supplying top quality meat to the farm shop. Lye Cross Farm practice both organic and conventional farming methods but aim to maintain long term fertility of the soil and sustainable use of resources throughout.
