Born and reared on a mixed Devon farm with sheep, cattle and cider. Farmed, and worked in the meat trade since 1990. A keen interest in sustainable agriculture led to multiple collaborations with researchers on his own farm looking at dung beetles and bats, living mulches, net zero, silvopasture amongst other things. Helping design slaughterhouses for islands and deer processing units for the mainland to give regen farming access to markets. Chair of Devon County Agricultural Assoc.
