Professor Craig J Sturrock is co-director of The Hounsfield Facility, a dedicated X-ray imaging facility for soil and plant research at The University of Nottingham. He has over 20 years’ experience in using X-ray Computed Tomography, a technology similar to medical CAT-scanning, to provide novel insights into root-soil interactions and the impacts of agricultural practices on soil structure.
