Five experienced entomologists, will guide attendees around the onsite farm and immerse them in the fascinating world of insects and explain how their interactions benefit crops, soils and the surrounding environment.
Hedges, field margins and the various connecting habitats will be explored and discussed, including how to encourage more beneficials invertebrates, infield habitats and the effects of farmland practises (such as tillage) on insect populations.
The walk will culminate in the collection of insect traps set the previous day, and attendees can then attend a follow-on session at 10.15am in The Wildlife Trusts – Farming with Nature StageĀ
