Awarded an OBE in 1998 for services to organic farming, Helen is Chief Executive of the Soil Association. She sits on the BBC’s Rural Affairs Advisory Committee, is a Commissioner for the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission, and board member at Soil Association Exchange. Helen has held roles in agri-politics, including the Government’s Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food. She farms organically in Wiltshire with her daughter and son-in-law.
