George Young, aka farmingGeorge, is an agroecological farmer from Curtis Farm, South Essex. His obsession with bringing nature back into his farming system has seen the reintroduction of livestock to the previously arable fields. George runs an organic beef suckler herd based around crossing native breeds, outdoors all year round and eating only pasture. His farm features a fifty-acre field of agroforestry, along with a ‘wild seam’ which carves through the centre of the farm, linking all the fields together, and providing a permanent undisturbed habitat for biodiversity to flourish
